Cryptomeria an impressive ball for the garden!

Description of the plant

Η Cryptometers (Cryptomeria japonica "Globosa Nana") is an evergreen coniferous shrub with a round shape. Its height can reach up to 1 m in size, with needle-shaped green foliage that turns brown in winter.

Plant care

Development conditions

It prefers sunny places but can also withstand partial shade. It is also very resistant to high summer temperatures, as long as it has sufficient humidity. It adapts to different types of soils, without specific acidity as long as they have good drainage.

Watering

It needs moderate watering about 2 times a week. But it needs larger amounts of water every 2-3 days mainly until it is installed in a garden or in periods of intense drought.

Lubrication

Fertilize with a complete granular preparation once in early spring and once in late autumn to maintain vigor and improve its growth.

Pruning

Pruning is needed to maintain the shape and compact appearance of the crown. It is good to make one in early spring and one in early autumn.

Use of the plant

It is an ideal choice for flower beds, low borders and rock gardens.
