Dianella, a decorative plant for your garden

Dianella tasmanica (Dianella tasmanica) is an interesting plant that makes an excellent choice for the garden or outdoor space due to its ease of care and beautiful appearance. Herbaceous plant from the Asphodelaceae family and native to eastern Australia and Tasmania. It can reach a height and width of about 30-60 cm. The beautiful, lush foliage consists of numerous linear-oblong lanceolate leaves of relatively long length and its flowers are usually small and inconspicuous.

Position

Prefers bright and semi-shady places. It needs to be planted in places protected from frost and strong or hot wind.

Watering

It doesn't need a lot of water, once a week is enough. In the summer months, watering should be increased due to heat and drought.

Durability

It is a fairly resistant plant to drought and cold down to at least -5°C, as well as to diseases and pests.

Terrain

It prefers well-drained soils, and grows in various types of soils with different textures and varying acidity values.
