Plumeria is an ornamental tree that can reach and exceed 3 meters under the right conditions. It consists of soft fleshy branches. It is a deciduous plant, but in tropical or temperate climates with prolonged summer, it can keep its leaves throughout the year, providing dense shade and an intoxicating aroma during flowering.
Leaves
Its leaves are oval pointed with a leathery surface. Their color is bright green with visible veins while their underside looks like velvet.
Flowers
The flowers appear in clusters at the ends of the branches. There are various flower colors such as white-yellow, pink, fuchsia and others. The five petals of which they are composed are velvety and resemble rose petals to the touch. The flowering of the plumeria lasts from June to October.
Terrain
It grows satisfactorily in all types of soil, without particular problems. A necessary condition is that the soil has good drainage. Prefers sandy or clay soils, rich in nutrients.
