Pennisetum red (Pennisetum sp.)

Penicetum is a herbaceous, perennial, herbaceous plant. The leaves of the plant are flat, narrow, green, with an elongated shape, smooth and shiny surface and lanceolate ends. Its flowers, which look like soft fluff, appear from the middle of summer and adorn the garden until the beginning of autumn. Its inflorescence has white shades and a soft, fluffy shell, on which the seeds of the plant mature. The plant reaches a height of up to 70 cm and a width of 50 cm.

It grows in moderately moist, light soils that drain very well. It prefers sunny planting locations and is suitable for planting in coastal areas. It is good to plant in places protected from strong winds. It generally has low care requirements. Moderate watering is usually enough, except in hot seasons when it needs more water. Although it needs water to thrive, it can withstand some drought. In cases of extremely low winter temperatures, protection may be required. At the end of the winter we remove most of the aboveground part. In general, it does not have particular problems with enemies and diseases.
