In order for your lawn to have a proper appearance but also resistance to the problems caused by weeds, mosses and diseases, it is necessary to pay special attention from time to time. Follow the tips below and we promise you that your lawn will always have the wonderful look you desire.

  • Before you start cutting, clean up debris, toys and other unwanted items. It will not be easy to pick them up after the haircut.
  • Wait until the lawn is really green before mowing it, otherwise you may damage it. You can mow the lawn for the first time when it is longer than 40–60 mm.
  • During the mowing of the lawn, nutrients that are necessary for its growth and resistance to weeds are removed. Choose a slightly higher mowing height than normal the first time you mow the lawn in the spring, as this will help it grow.
  • Because the lawn grows faster during the first part of the season, you should mow it once or twice a week. In mid-summer, lawn growth is slower. After the summer, the growth rate increases again, to decrease in the fall and to stop completely when the frost arrives.
  • Never cut more than half the length of the grass in each haircut. The golden rule is that the length of the lawn should never be less than four inches.
  • Avoid mowing on days with excessive heat and sunshine, as the grass is much more vulnerable. Besides, it is much more comfortable for you to mow the grass in the afternoon dew.
  • It is important that the cutting blade is sharp. Precise mowing reduces the risk of drought in the event of an attack by a disease. Diseases more easily attack dry grass, the color of the lawn turns brown and weeds grow more easily.
