4 mistakes to avoid in the summer!

Summer is the time of year when high temperatures make it difficult for our plants to grow well.

Below we present the 4 most common mistakes made:

We don't water the right way:

A very common mistake we make is to water our plants from afar, thus wetting their leaves. This has the effect of greatly increasing the possibility of fungal infections in the plant.

In addition, watering during the midday hours creates leaf burn due to the different temperatures in the inner part of the leaf cells and on their outer surface.

Finally, pour large amounts of water. This practice does not help the plant and in combination with high temperatures contributes to the appearance of diseases and rotting of the plant.

We do not use fertilizers recklessly.

We always consult an agronomist about the species fertilizer that our plants need. In the summer, our plants need corn fertilization, which helps to regulate the water balance, the plant's metabolism and the rate of photosynthesis.

We do not use poor quality substrate.

Soil is one of the most important factors for plant survival. Because, through their root system, they absorb all the necessary nutrients and water. A frequent mistake is the purchase of poor quality soil, which results in poor aeration of the roots, poor water drainage and many times we will encounter insects that will attack the plants.

Wrong choice of plants for planting in a sardinia or in the same pot.

Another mistake that is often made is choosing plants with different requirements for water and other elements as a result of which they cannot survive together and we lose our plants. For this reason it would be good to consult an agronomist who is able to know the requirements of each plant and what is needed for a composition of plants to give us the desired result.

And finally 2 important ones TIPS:

1. When watering our pot, make sure that no water remains in its saucer as this favors the growth of fungi.

2. We choose good quality soils.
