LECHUZA hygrometer – it's that simple!
With the LECHUZA hygrometer you can easily and quickly see the water requirements of your plant, without getting your hands dirty. Even if you want to grow your plant without the LECHUZA self-watering system.
This is how you measure correctly:
Note that the moisture meter shows the correct value when placed in the soil you planted your plant in and around the plant's root ball. If your plant is planted only with LECHUZA Pon or other substrates, the moisture meter is not used.
Shortly after inserting the tip of the probe into the soil around the root, you can see if your plant is adequately supplied with moisture. Please read the value while the moisture meter is in the soil, then pull the pointer out. It is not necessary to leave the marker in the soil for a long time.
The scale shows:
– Red = soil is very dry, needs watering
– Green = the soil is quite moist, your plant is well watered
– Blue = the soil is moist, the plant does not need watering
By taking regular measurements, you can easily prevent your plants from being under- or over-watered. The hygrometer is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With a total length of approximately 26 cm, you can even use it to measure the moisture of large plant pots. No batteries are needed for its use.
Important:
After each measurement, pull the pointer directly off the ground again and clean it with a dry cloth. In case of permanent contact with water or a wet substrate, the measuring tip may rust and not make an accurate measurement.
Combined with LECHUZA pots, the hygrometer helps to accurately determine the dry phase of your plant. This is especially practical if, for example, you are using a large pot, the plant has not yet grown properly, or you cannot tell the moisture level from the surface of the substrate. But even without a self-watering system, you can easily control the supply of moisture to your plants. So the plants are always supplied with water exactly as much as they need.
