Leaves
It has large, dark green leaves, which rest on a slender stem and resemble swords. Its flowers also grow from the base of the stem.
Flowers
Its flowers are characteristically white, with also a white stamen in its center. Its flowers are similar to those of the calla and the lily.
Terrain
Their soil should be light, with a high content of peat and have good drainage.
Position
The most ideal place for the spathiphyllum is near a window so that it has enough light, but without being directly exposed to the sun because it will cause damage to its leaves.
- Do not place it next to radiators or other appliances that emit heat or cold as it will adversely affect your plant.
Watering
When watering it needs a little water whenever the soil around our plant dries up and it is like dry dust at a depth of 2-3 centimeters. We water it about 1-2 times a week. Make sure that water does not pool in the pot.
Tip:
It is good to clean the leaves often with a damp cloth to clean the dust and keep them always shiny!!!
Pruning
It does not need pruning, but its leaves and flowers must be removed from the base when they dry.
Lubrication
It doesn't have special needs for fertilizer, but you can fertilize it with a light formulation for flowering, at half the dose of that indicated in the instructions of the formulation and only once a month, from Spring until the first cold of autumn.

Spathiphyllum is generally a disease resistant plant. It is affected by fungal diseases in conditions of high humidity. Insect infestations occur rarely. Can be affected by ringworm and coccoid (scabies).
