Evergreen shrub, up to 1-1.5 m tall, with fragrant, lanceolate, deep green leaves and white flowers and also fragrant. It has lower growth than normal myrtle but is more resistant to cold. It prefers sunny and windless places, but can grow very well in shady places. In winter its flowers turn black fruits.
