Cypress Arizona

The Arizona cypress (Cupressus Arizonica) is a coniferous evergreen, with a final height of 10-15m. Its crown is conical. It has impressive blue-green foliage. The leaves are scaly, dense and pressed against the branches. It is a solitary species and bears male and female corms at the ends of the branches. Flowering occurs from January to April. Its leaves are scaly, triangular, cruciform opposite. Its fruit is turbid spherical at first it is brown and then ash-blue.

It withstands air pollution, little water when large and can be planted in barren and rocky soils. It is a solitary species and bears male and female corms at the ends of the branches. It thrives in places with mild winters and does not thrive in environments with temperatures lower than -18οC. Withstands summer drought.
