Heather or calluna is an evergreen small shrub. It has small gray-green leaves, in a four-point arrangement and a height of 0,20-0,80m. In autumn its leaves acquire a bright red color.

Flowers

Their flowers are bell-shaped, tubular with bracts and bracts. It blooms from July to November depending on the variety and prefers semi-shaded places.

Terrain

It grows in acidic and infertile soils, with very good drainage.

Position

It prefers sunny and semi-shady places, with the most ideal ones protected from the strong midday summer sun. Heather also thrives in shady places, but its flowering is reduced.

Watering

It does not need frequent watering. In the summer months it should be watered every 2-3 days.

At the end of winter the dry shoots are removed and it acquires a compact shape.
