It is a perennial or annual plant and its height reaches 2-2,5 meters. It is an angiosperm dicotyledonous plant, with toothed glossy foliage. Its leaves are deep, lobed and 8 to 15 cm long. Its flowers, with a diameter of 8-10 cm, have five cone-shaped petals and are red, pink, white, yellow, orange. It blooms from August to October. Its seeds ripen from October to November.
Position
It likes sunny places or those with light shade and needs to be planted in places protected from frost and strong or hot wind.
Watering
It needs moderate watering, mainly in the hot, summer months, but also in the first weather until it is established in a garden. It really likes systematic watering, with smaller amounts of water and it is good not to let its roots dry out often.

It grows successfully in various types of soil, with different composition and varying acidity values, as long as they have good drainage.
