Wisteria or wisteria (Wisteria sinensis) is a deciduous, climbing plant with particularly strong flowering and an intoxicating aroma. It shows a fast growth rate and vigorous vegetation. The height of the plant usually ranges from 15-20 meters, however if found in ideal conditions it can reach up to 30 meters.

The plant has twisting stems, which are particularly strong and very long. They branch out in many directions and the plant "spreads" over a large area. The leaves are feather-shaped and light green in color.

Flowers

The flowers, with their "gentle" aroma, appear on the shoots of the year, before the leaves come out. They grow many together in large, impressive, cream-branched inflorescences called "voters" and reach a length of 25-30 cm. The most common color is purple, but there are also varieties with white color. The flowering of the plant starts in April - May and lasts for about a month. If the light is not enough, few leaves will develop which will turn yellow and fall and no flowers will appear even if the plant is of flowering age.
