Vigonaki

Common Name: Vigonaki
Origin: Central and South America

Vigonia is a low-growing plant, usually 40-50 cm. The leaves are large ovate, alternate on the stem, with serrated edges. It is characterized by bright green or red, glossy foliage.

Flowers

Its flowers are small in various colors, such as white, red and pink. It presents abundant flowering. The flowering period lasts from April to October.

Terrain

It grows satisfactorily in all types of soil, without particular problems. A necessary condition is that the soil has good drainage.

Position

Prefers sunny places protected from strong and hot wind.

It does not have high water requirements, except in the summer months when you can increase its watering.

Can't stand the cold. Be careful with strong winds. It is suitable for planting in areas with intense atmospheric pollution. Withstands coastal areas.

They show great resistance to entomological and fungal diseases and usually during the time they remain in the garden they do not need special treatment.

The most common mistake is excessive watering, which results in the plant rotting.
