Origin: South America

Verbena or temari is an annual or perennial herbaceous plant. Its leaves are green, oval and jagged. Its height reaches 15 to 40 cm, with its creeping varieties even exceeding 60 cm.

Flowers

Its flowers have various colors, such as white, red, purple and pink. It blooms from May and stops around autumn, when the first low temperatures prevail.

Terrain

It grows satisfactorily in all types of soil, without particular problems. A necessary condition is that the soil has good drainage.

Position

Prefers sunny places protected from strong and hot wind. Ideal plant for planting near water.

Watering

Water the plant regularly when you see the surface of its soil dry and be careful to always empty the saucer of water so that its roots do not rot.

Caution

You should not wet its leaves and flowers.

Lubrication

It does not have high nutrient requirements. It is good to apply a preparation in liquid form for immediate results in early spring and late summer.

It withstands up to -4°C. It is suitable for planting in areas with intense atmospheric pollution. Withstands coastal areas.

Pruning

No pruning needed. We need to remove the wilted flowers to maintain their vitality and have prolonged flowering. In mid-summer, when the first flowering is complete, we top to encourage new growth and create denser plants with longer flowering.
