The euphorbia (Euphorbia milii), known as the "thorn of Christ", is a beautiful cactus-like succulent, in the form of a bush. It has many dense thorns and characteristic small flowers in various colors.
 
Leaves
 
Its leaves are hard, leathery and green. 
 
Flowers
 
Its flowers are red, yellow, white, green, pink, orange and bi-colored. It blooms throughout the year with a rest period of about a month after each bloom.
 
Terrain
 
It is good to plant in soil special for cacti and succulents.
 
Position
 
The place where you will place the ephorbia must be sunny, bright and warm. In winter it should be protected from the cold and strong winds.
 

Durability

It is sensitive to low temperatures, below 12 ºC. The ideal temperature for its growth is 20-24ºC. It does not tolerate drought.

Watering
 
It is a plant that needs moderate watering. In other words, during the warm months it needs 1-2 waterings per week, while in the winter the waterings are diluted even more. Caution!! Do not let water fall on its leaves.
 
Lubrication
 
Fertilization should be added approximately every 3-4 weeks with special fertilizer for cacti, so that it has abundant flowering.
 
Pruning
 
We prune the euphorbia in early spring, after the winter frosts are over. We perform relatively light pruning of the euphorbia, maintaining its shape and removing dry and weak branches.
 
Enemies and Diseases
 
The most common enemies of the plant are the cotton bollworm and the weevil.
