Lechuza, the self-watering pots

Impressive pots with a unique Lechuza self-watering system. High quality – made in Germany!

The Lechuza pots

Lechuza pots are made of high-quality - resistant to all weather conditions - plastic, which is why they are easy to transport. The self-watering system, as always, is the absolute ally of your plants.

The original Lechuza self-watering system takes over the reliable supply of water to your plants even on hot summer days. The stress of frequent watering is a thing of the past, but even planting is simplified with the internal planting containers that are removable and easily transported with their ergonomic handles.

The Lechuza self-watering system

The plant with Lechuza-Pon is planted in the planting container or directly in the pot. After the watering phase the plant is watered by itself through the tank.

  1. Planting: Add a layer of Lechuza-Pon, which is included in the set, to the spacer base. Place the plant and fill the pot with Lechuza-Pon or soil.
  2. Watering phase: In the next 12 weeks* water the plant normally from above. When the plant grows, it can be watered by itself through the water tank.
  3. Self-watering phase and drought phase: After the watering phase, fill the water tank from the filling port, until the water level indicator reaches the "max." mark. So your plant will start watering itself thanks to the Lechuza system. When the water level indicator reaches the "min." mark, the dry phase begins, which lasts 2-10 days depending on the type of plant and its location. After each dry phase, refill the water tank from the filling port until it reaches the "max." mark.

Self-watering system with wick – Ideal for small plants

For plants with smaller roots that do not reach the water tank, small pots that also have a wick are ideal. Water and nutrients stored in Lechuza-Pon reach the roots in a balanced manner through the wick and capillary action. The all-in-one sets also include the Lechuza-Pon substrate so that your pot is ready for immediate use.
