Plant care

: Location: The barberry prefers sunny planting locations to acquire the red color of the leaves. Withstands frost (up to -20ο C). It is also ideal for coastal plantings.

➢ Watering: It is drought resistant. Before each watering, first check the soil moisture and if it is dry, then water. Avoid leaving water on the pot plate.

➢ Pruning: It needs pruning to remove dry and weak branches and maintain shape and size. If the bush is very large and blooms only at the ends of the shoots, it needs a strict pruning in winter. The whole bush is pruned to about 30 cm, it does not bloom in the coming spring, but in the following years it has rich flowering again.
