Care

. Location

Alokasia prefers bright and sunny places, always avoiding direct exposure to the sun. The shady places cause the blurring of its leaves, as well as the places near heat sources.

➢ Watering

Watering should be done with moderate frequency, first checking if the soil in the pot is dry. During the summer months it is good to spray the leaves with water to retain moisture and prevent them from drying out.

➢ Lubrication

To maintain its rich foliage, a monthly fertilizer application is needed during the autumn and spring months. An ideal formulation is the water-soluble fertilizer for green plants.

Diseases and enemies

Alocasia is infested with blackflies and lice. To treat them you can use a plant protection product that will be suggested by an agronomist.

Excessive watering can lead to fungal infections and root rot.

TIPS:

It is ideal to frequently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to clean them from dust. It also helps the plant to breathe better and show growth.
