Ο Devil's ivy (aureum), also known as devil's ivy, belongs to the Araceae family. There are about 20 climbing or creeping species, with aerial roots, by which the plant clings to supports. It comes from the Solomon Islands and French Polynesia.
Description of desire
Lust has light green heart-shaped leaves with yellow hues. It is a fast growing plant and its length can reach up to 2 meters. Its leaves are toxic, so keep it away from small children and pets.
Care of desire
: Location: It is considered an indoor plant, but in our country it is also maintained outdoors, as long as places with direct exposure to the sun and cold winds are avoided.
➢ Watering: Excessive moisture can cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall off. Before each watering, first check the soil moisture and if it is dry then water. Avoid leaving water on the pot plate.
➢ Lubrication: Need fertilizer suitable for leafy plants once a month throughout the year.
➢ Multiplication: Propagated by cuttings, dipping part of the stem into the soil. Also by cutting a shoot and immersing it in water, it can take root and thus have a new desire.
Diseases and enemies of lust
The lust is infested with the fungus Botrytis cinerea, appearing wet brown spots on the leaves.
The insects that infest lust are aphids, granules and blackflies.
