With the onset of summer we increasingly enjoy our free time outdoors, in the garden or on our balcony. However, mosquitoes do not take long to appear and so we are forced to resort to various solutions with repellents and chemical sprays.
If you do not want to resort to such solutions and burden your garden and yourself, you can grow some plants whose presence but mainly their smell acts as a repellent for mosquitoes. You can plant them near the door or in places where you spend most of your time in your garden or on your balcony.
Of course, we must emphasize that their effectiveness is purely repulsive and can not replace chemical methods.
Plants that have a strong repellent effect on mosquitoes
Royal
The strong smell that basil leaves give off is what keeps mosquitoes away. You can plant it in pots or in the garden. Basil thrives in bright places, however it is sensitive to long hours of direct sun exposure. During the winter it needs protection from frost, snow and north winds to maintain its lush green foliage and to grow well. It is good to remove its flowers when their flowering ends so that the plants are strong.
Tip: Try to cut some basil leaves and rub them on your skin so that mosquitoes do not attack you.

It is responsible for its repellent properties against mosquitoes. It thrives in places with constant sunshine, but can also adapt to relatively semi-shady places, without much problem.
