Η Dipladenia, is an evergreen climbing shrub, with impressive flowers and glossy foliage. It is a plant of warm regions originating from Brazil and has adapted to the Mediterranean climate of our country. Due to its origin, it is also known as "Brazilian jasmine". The ornamental value of this plant is especially great because of the large flowers it creates, the glossy foliage and the prolonged flowering period.

Caring for dipladenia

It prefers shady and semi-shady places, because the intense summer sun causes cachexia in its foliage. In particular, the dipladenia blooms continuously, as long as the night temperature exceeds 10ºC. It is a very sensitive plant to low temperatures and freezes at 0ºC. About terrain, dipladenia thrives in deep, rich and well-drained soils. If planted in flower pot, needs topsoil enriched in nutrients and perlite. It generally needs frequent watering, especially in summer, but can withstand drought for a while. THE lubrication it is done from spring to autumn, every month, with water-soluble complete fertilizers, while the addition iron and magnesium will help in the intense greening of its leaves. Uses
